Pediatric Dentist in Levittown

Meet Dr. Amar Singh

Dr. Amar Singh was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University in Psychology and researched how to help anxious dental patients overcome their fears. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, the highest honor bestowed upon a graduate of the DDS program.  Dr. Amar went on to complete a specialty residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), a full-time two year program dedicated entirely to the care and treatment of children.  Here, he received specialized training in the treatment of infants, children, and teenagers, including patients with high anxiety, special needs, and advanced medical issues.  During that period, he also worked after hours to achieve a Master of Science degree for his thesis investigating dental caries rates in patients with Down Syndrome.

After residency, Dr. Amar moved to Philadelphia and continued his education to become a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest level of distinction that a pediatric dentist can achieve. He has been proud to serve the patients of his community for the past 5 years in this city. Dr. Amar also serves as a Clinical Adjunct Professor in the pediatric department at Temple University College of Dentistry, where he was awarded “Most Educationally Influential” by his students.

Dr. Amar cares deeply about his patients and always maintains the promise to “treat every child as if they were his own”.  He has worked hard to become tri-lingual, in order to be able to communicate effectively with his Spanish speaking patients. He also volunteers his time working for different non-profit organizations and even launched a dental mission trip to provide emergency dental relief for nomads and monks in Tibet, an area that had never seen a single dental provider before his trip.  When he's not caring for your little ones, Dr. Amar enjoys living in Philadelphia, travel, fitness, and stand up comedy.
